Chicago Urban League Moves Community Input Session to Kennedy-King College

Due to Growing Public Interest in CPD Superintendent Selection Process

CPD Superintendent Documents

(Chicago, IL) Growing public interest in the Chicago Police Department (CPD) Superintendent selection process has resulted in organizers moving the Community Input Session to a larger venue. Chicago Urban League representatives announced today that the forum will be held at

Kennedy-King College

Auditorium

740 W. 63rd St., Chicago, IL 60621

Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 6:30p.m. (Doors open at 5:30 p.m.)

Community members will be given the opportunity to directly address members of the Chicago Police Board as it moves to nominate three candidates for CPD Superintendent for consideration by Mayor Emanuel. Further information regarding the selection process may be found at thechicagourbanleague.org.

The public is encouraged to share their recommendations on what attributes they would like to see in the new superintendent, as well as what issues they feel are most important for the new superintendent to address once he or she takes office.

CUL will synthesize the comments and suggestions into a list of recommended actions that will be presented to the Chicago Police Board and made available for public viewing.

The public is invited to submit comments online, prior to the community input session and through Friday, January 15th by visiting the Chicago Urban League Facebook Forum or via email to InputSession@thechicagourbanleague.org.
