Apply for the City of Chicago’s Microbusiness Recovery Grant Program by May 4!
The City of Chicago has established the $5 million Microbusiness Recovery Grant Program to distribute $5,000 grants to up to 1,000 microbusinesses in low-income areas of the city that have been severely impacted by COVID-19 and could most benefit from a grant. Applications are available starting on April 28 and will be open until 5:00pm on Monday, May 4.
Grants will be distributed via a lottery with equitable distribution across the eligible community areas. The Chicago Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection will host webinars to provide an overview of the City of Chicago Microbusiness Recovery Grant Program, eligibility, and how to apply.

The Chicago Urban League is serving as a community partner and one of five grant administrators for the program. The other grant administrators are Accion, CNI Micro Finance Group, Somercor, and the Women’s Business Development Center.
